I dont know about you all, but I was getting soooo TIRED of hearing the same 4 MIA songs over and over and over again. On some real shit, I listened to ‘Boyz’ soo much- it was almost like my own recurring theme song that I played over and over in my head
Seriously, I’d do a seizure-esqe baile funk 2 step on my way to the A train, or down the frozen foods aisle, i’d even blow my cigarette smoke out to the beat… it had to stop.
THANKFULLY miss Maya Arulpragasam (damn, try and say that 5 times fast) came out of MIA status and blessed us with Kala. Im not about to explain or critique this album, you just need to listen for yourself.
My personal favorites include: 20 Dollar, World Town, Hussel and
Paper Planes.
