Straight from the flea
I just love flea markets and thrift stores. It’s probably because as a young kid, my mother and I were always in them. Last saturday I was driving in queens and I happened to drive by a parking lot on union turnpike where they held flea markets. Apparently this has been going on ever since I moved out of queens. I was shocked and pretty curious to see what they were selling inside. While my girlfriend was browsing for vintage apparel, I was more on a hunt for vintage toys haha. I didn’t find much but I came across this dude who was selling vintage comic books and cards. For $5 he gave me a whole box of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cards. Most people would be like… so? But to me, that made my day. I like collecting old shit, believe or not. I get some of my inspiration from old shit.
